Machined Gears: SEA only use machined gears; cast gears are often used in less reliable systems as they are cheaper to produce.
Oil Filled Gearboxes: SEA only offer underground operators with oil filled gear boxes. You wouldn't drive a car with a grease filled gear box so why accept it in your gate automation, the grease will only lubricate the operator for the first six months soon spreading to the outside of the casing offering no long term lubrication. Your motors will get noisier and noisier, wearing the internal components and reducing the life expectancy of your system.
